Most exhilarating musical seen this year.
“Uplifting show……….a real dazzler”
Taut and buff bodies glisten… dazzle, shimmer and sparkle… the choreography and visual appeal is as slick and sexy as any MTV promo.
“Their energy is electrifying, their movements suffused with a rush of joy and yet ruthlessly precise and the frenetic flow of onstage activity is almost non – stop. It’s a high octane pleasure to warm up the coldest winter night.”
The traditional music, interspersed with Western pop sounds, is strongly rhythmic and highlighted with lavishly choreographed dance numbers. A mixture that gives rise to a sumptuous feast for the senses.
Strong emotions, a lot of tears and a Happy End: The dance and costume event was reminiscent of an Indian meal: wellseasoned, spicy and, most especially, colourful.
Perfect: a mixture of kitsch, eroticism and exoticism. Intoxicating! After a two-and-a-half hour high, the swaying arena visitors were ready to jump onto the dance floor themselves.
More than three dozen phenomenal dancers inspired the enthusiastic audience to take part in a two-hour India journey. There was no choice: either join in – or be swept along.
The soul of the show is centred in the talented, gorgeous dancers who moved across the stage with admirable perseverance, great elegance and electrifying precision. Enthralling dance steps, lively rhythms and bold sound with hundreds of splendid, colourful costumes all combined into a fascinating indulgence for all the senses: A special treat not only for Bollywood fans, but also for those who want to join their ranks.
After a two-and-a-half hour high, one is ready to jump onto the stage, applaud like a dervish and dance all the way home. And that’s the way it should be.
The evening is actually one great big finale.
From the very first moment, the dance team, headed up by Vaibhavi Merchant, held the fans spellbound.
The ensemble danced itself into ecstasy as if it were being propelled along to one big finale. Over and over again, one had to think that the power and energy of these exceptional dancers couldn’t be any higher, and that there is nothing to compare to it on any other German stage […]
One can’t get enough of this artistic, spectacular pageantry.
“Bollywood – The Show” is a fine alternative to taking a short holiday.
…one has definitely never seen a more intoxicatingly glittery, dervish-like, whirling, enduring sparkle in all the colours of the rainbow.
The European premiere of “Bollywood – The Show” in Zurich’s Maag Hall is a two-hour show that, given its tempo, can be seen as being one big, brilliant finale right from the first of approximately forty dance numbers.
